The chairman and CEO of Capital Oil and Gas, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has described as very unfortunate a media attack on the person of Sir Emeka Offor and other affluent individuals from the South East.
Dr Ubah during an interaction with journalists in his Umuanuka Otolo-Nnewi, country home said that all the malicious stories carried by Sahara Reporters against Sir Offor is not but a failed attempt to tarnish the image of the CEO of Chrome Group.
The publisher of Authority newspaper however said that the campaign of calumny against Sir Offor is a continuation of smear campaign against prominent people from Anambra state.
"Sir Emeka Offor is very healthy, he is as fit as a fiddle, he came to the field unaided, you all saw him there. He is still very rich, he came with his Royce Rolls, people should stop getting envious of the Igbos, it is God who has decided to bless us and there is nothing our detractors can do about that.
"They should stop killing our people with their mouth and their paid hatchet media like Sahara Reporters, if they are not saying negative thing about Dr Cletus Ibeto, they will report fictitious report that Innocent Chukwuma has closed down his factory.
Dr Ubah urged those who are behind the smear campaign against prominent people from Igboland to have a change heart and turn from their evil ways.
"They should leave our people alone, there is nothing they can do about the blessings of God upon our lives. I don't know what they will say about me tomorrow but that's not important, we are impacting lives positively, putting our lives on the line to eradicate poverty and unemployment in Anambra state. For me, that is the most important and we don't have apology about that." He concluded.
