2 killed as Militants burnt down Imo general hospital, Entraco office, 7 cars, tricycles and house

www.odogwublog.com reports that barely few days after militants surrendered their arms in Owerri, the Imo state capital, two people have been confirmed dead, many others critically injured, eight vehicles set ablaze with many others badly wounded in a clash between militants and operatives of Imo Security Watch.
Crises ensured when militants from Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema local governments who were on their way to the state capital to surrender their arms in obedience to the state Government amnesty programs for militants in the state, clashed with the operatives of Imo security watch, an internal security outfit in the state at the control post Junction in the metropolis.
It was gathered that the militants and the security men engaged in a heated altercation which escalated, leading to a gun duel which claimed the life of one of the militants, whose remains was taken to the Imo Specialist Hospital.
Further, it was gathered that the militants irked by the attack, reinforced and stormed the hospital for a reprisal attack.
Sources who pleaded anonymity said unable to retrieve the remains of their slain member, made the militants to throw caution in the air, and set   four vehicles ablaze, tricycles, destroyed another three and set the hospital building on fire which was immediately quenched in the process.
Further, they stormed the office of Imo Security Network on Aba road where they allegedly shot an official dead, injured another badly, set four vehicles ablaze with other vehicles vandalised.
Also affected was the office premises housing ENTRACO. 
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Mr Andrew Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of police, DSP, disclosed that two persons have been confirmed dead with another injured, while about 14 vehicles were set on fire and destroyed by the rampaging militants.
The police spokesperson disclosed that arrests have been made in connection to the crime, adding that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Taiwo Lakanu quickly moved in and restored normalcy in the areas.
