Breaking News on Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu's wife speaks, says husband wont renounce Biafra

www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that Mrs Uchechi Okwu Kanu the wife of Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has warned those spreading the news that her husband would soon give up the struggle for restoration of Biafra to forget that idea because her husband wont renounce Biafra no matter the offer.

Mrs Kanu who spoke through a statement issued by the IPOB director of media and publicity Emma Powerful which The Authority obtained a copy said that the report about her husband denouncing Biafra is wrong and insulting as MEND or any other person or group cannot negotiate on behalf of her husband adding her husband must restore and nothing would stop.

According to Uchechi "Anybody thinking that my husband will renounce Biafra is certifiably insane, Mend does not speak for my husband, This type of news as distressing as it is, is laughable because no group can postulate what my husband can or cannot do or say. This is not only an insult to our belief but also a despoliation of our rights as a people perpetrated by dishonorable minds."

He accused the federal government of Nigeria of deliberately detaining her husband noting that the Abuja High Court initially granted him bail but President Muhammadu Buhari said in December 2015 that the Ipob leader would not be released amid fears he could jump bail and flee to the UK, as he holds both a British and a Nigerian passport 

She said "based on the impression that my husband could jump bail, It is now apparent that the charges against my husband are politically motivated and not a judicial process as President Buhari would have the world believe.

"This singular act of tyranny and injustice against my husband amongst others is reprehensible to every reasonable mind and is one of the critical reasons for the emergence of the Niger Delta Averagers (NDA) who have in their quest, consistently called for the release of my husband which President Buhari has underplayed. Subsequently, my husband should be present at any negotiations and I can refer President Buhari to F.W. de Klerk of South Africa on how to negotiate with the freedom fighters.
