Breaking News: Cultists on rampage in Imo state University, kills final year student

A final year student of the Imo State University (IMSU) Owerri was on Tuesday shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen suspected to be cultists. He is yet to be identified.
Sad news emanating from Imo state University, Owerri,IMSU, has it that a final year student of the citadel of learning has been murdered in a cold blood by yet to be identified gunmen, suspected to be cultists.
The identity of the dead student was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing in this report, but The Authority gathered that the late final year student was killed at about 2:5pm, Tuesday , at back gate area on the campus.
Sources who witnessed the shooting, said that the killing was cult related, explained that pandemonium has gripped the area, adding that academic and administrative activities in the school halted, as students and staff of IMSU scamper for safety and have been leaving the school campus in droves.
Meanwhile, when contacted for Police reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) in the state, Mr Andrew Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of police, DSP, said that his office has not been briefed on the incident but explained that he would make contacts to verify the information.
