The Bishop on The Niger Rt.. Rev'd. Owen C. Nwokolo PhD has ordained eleven Priests recently at All Saints Cathedral Onitsha, Anambra State.
Bishop Nwokolo while preaching the sermon during the ordination Service charged the newly ordained Priests to always live examplary life, reminding them that the work of God is obviously challenging.
Bishop Nwokolo noted while addressing the pressmen shortly after the service that many people believed that work of God was all about enjoyment, stressing that many men of God today were disappointed as things have been working contrary to their expectations. He enjoined christians to live life that could portray what they claim or a life that be in tandem with the word of God who they work.
Addressing the pressmen, Ven. Emma Mbanugo the Diocesan Accountant urged the Parishioners of the newly ordained Priests to throw their unalloyed support behind them, stating that the work of God needed the cooperation of the Priests and the Parishioners for smooth running the day to day activities of the Church.
Ven. Mbanugo pointed out that some Parishioners do not care about their Priests who prayed for them every now and then. He called on such People to retrace their footsteps before it gets late.
Also speaking, one of the newly ordained Rev'd Johnson Chinedu Iwuamaeze whose face was an inscription of excitement when the pressmen his reception hall to the news men that he was the happiest person, describing the day as an unforgettable day to him and his family members, noting that God has remembered him through Bishop Nwokolo.
Rev'd. Iwuamaeze thanked Bishop Nwokolo whom he said had allowed himself to be used by God to make him a Priest in the Diocese on the Niger. He prayed God to bless his family beyond measure.
A lay man Mr. Hyacinth Egwuatu also described the event a worthwhile, advising the new Priests to make obedience their daily practice and watch word.
