Anambra Born Industrialist, Chief Israel Ezue accuses FG of crippling productivity, importation in Nigeria, supports Obiano for second term

The CEO of White-Gate International Ventures, Chief Israel Ezue, has accused the federal government of willfully stifling productivity in the country through its economic policies, blaming the federal government of churning out harsh monetary cum business policies which had shot up the cost of production, hence, leading to the collapse of many businesses in the country.
The eminent Anambra-born industrialist, who spoke to journalists in his home town, Awa, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State lamented that importers of key goods and services in the country are walking the tight rope to be able to meet up with the public demand as the government has refused to release dollars they already paid for to enable them embark on their businesses.
“I am dealing on tire business. Since this year, I have not received any container, not even one. This is because there is no money for importation. The government has refused to release the dollar to enable the importers embark on their business.
“The one I ordered for last year arrived. We paid custom duties and all necessary duties due to the government but the government on their part has refused to release the dollar they had agreement with our business partners abroad which would enable our business flourish.
“Consequently, our foreign partners have refused to send more goods. We don’t have the dollar for importation. Government owes us despite paying them all the duties but have refused to release dollar to us which we would remit to our foreign partners.”
“Despite the vast margin between naira and dollar, we agreed to buy at that rate, yet, government through their financial agency has not been able to make it available.”
Commenting on the state of his home stead Awa the Awa traditional Prime Minister, Chief Ezue commended Gov. Willie Obiano for his developmental strides and egalitarian policies aimed at uplifting the state despite the economic state of the country.
“Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano is doing his best for the state but the only challenge is the economic meltdown that is affecting every state. But Anambra is not doing badly. We visited the governor recently to detail him on the challenges of our community, especially the  35 km Ufuma-Awa-Ndiukwuenu-Amansea road project and the  recently collapsed, Mmamu bridge  that linked Awa and Ndiukwuenu and he gave us his word that work would soon commence in earnest.”
“If he eventually completes that road project, it would be very significant in Orumba and the old Aguata because that road is very important and strategic to our people. It’s just ten minutes drive to Awka. Even those traveling to Enugu or Abia can find this road quite useful. So by the time dry season sets in, we are confident the governor will do it. He is doing very well, and as such deserves second tenure.”
