Why APGA May Lose Anambra State Come 2017

A Detailed Opinion Poll And An Independent Clinical Analysis of The Realities on Ground Has Shown that Allowing Governor Willie Obiano to Emerge as APGA Guber Candidate in 2017 will amount to APGA Losing Ananmbra State Forever and Signal The Official Death of APGA as a political party. - By Pope Obinna Tony Amaefuna
This indeed is a very trying time for APGA and all party faithfuls all over the world.
The "Onye aghana Nwanne Ya" spirit left the party the moment Peter Obi forced the relatively unknown Willie Obiano from a swimming pool in Texas down our throats. These days, APGA aghalugo Ndi Anambra State.
The glory days of this once great part is over. What is left is a gang of sycophants masquerading as party men who dosnt care even if Willie sends this great state into recession.
This cadre of party-men only care about the size of the envelopes and largess they stand to get while damning the consequences of defending the brazen squandermania of state resources and Agulerization of the polity going on in Anambra State.
Their is Nobody Left to Vote for Willie Come 2017
The professionals, Industrialists and business people are the worse hit by Willie's recklessness. The average Anambra based businessman is not happy with Willie. Ignore the businessmen based in Sapele, Lagos or Port Harcourt shouting Willie is working because they dont understand the realities on ground. This government for the first time in the history of the state increased tax by 300%. Most Industries struggling to stay afloat in this hard economic times has been closed down after they were forced under Willie's new tax regime to pay outrageous sums in tax to a government that has done nothing for them.
Prince Arthur Eze, has dumped APGA and has withdrawn his support because of the level of Willie's unpopularity and his blatant attempt to wreck Anambra State via Agulerization.
An Industrialist Mr Anayo Okoli, The Managing Director of Candour Plastic industries told Newsmen that the company years past paid 120,000 per annum before Willie's new policy and now they were forced to pay N475,000 per annum in this difficult time.
Another Anambra business man and industrialist Mr. Chuka Palodis Ilodi has been crying out on social media ever since Willie closed down his business and forced him into bankruptcy for no reason.
Stine industries (Makers of Anambra Rice) who the government claims to support is slowly going out of business because Gov. Willie Obiano has threatened to boycott the company unless he is allowed to print his photograph on the bags of rice. The unfortunate thing however is that the photograph according anonymous sources from the company  caused "BAD MARKET" for the rice because the typical Anambra market Men and women refused to buy the rice out of hatred for Willie. The management of the company also bemoans the inability of the state government to attract reasonable investment of power generation as PHCN is ruining the company productivity.
industrialsits like INNOSON who have invested billions in the state was abandoned immediately Willie came to office. Anambra State is producing cars yet Willie went to Toyota and bought cars at the inflated cost of N28million each simple because INNOSON did not agree to assist him in stealing and squandering Anambra money to quoting the cost of a N2million per car to be N28Million per car. hence he dumped our own brother and APGA supporter INNOSON
Who is left to vote for Willie?
The Church has also dumped Willie because of his recklessness and favoritism. ON Saturday, September 13, 2014, Bishops in the Anglican Communion in all dioceses in Anambra State defied the heavy downpour of the day to march in the streets of Onitsha to protest against Gov. Willie Obiano. This was no ordinary protest. Their lordships had taken some time to denounce what they called the systematic marginalization of the Anglican Communion by the state government. They swore that Obiano will never remain governor come 2017 after he gave the catholic church a higher amount of money while the Anglican church received a paltry sum. Losing the votes of the Anglican church though a minority still remains a heavy influence which cannot be ignored on the polls.
Catholic faithfuls are also kicking against what they called mistake of 2013 election . They says that Obiano is just opposite of Peter Obi whom they believed did great job in the state .For some of them , if APGA insist on Obiano ,then they will vote against him and the party in 2017.
The Academics are wailing. The universities has been neglected and no tangible investment or achievement has been recorded in over 24months regardless of the fact that this government inherited N75billion. This same governor who inherited such a robust state directed the VC of ANAMBRA STATE UNIVERSITY [ANSU] to increase school fees of the students to enable the school generate more fund that the Government will squander in a champagne fueled jamboree.  This same government levied PRIMARY SCHOOL HEADMASTERS 15,000 NAIRA EACH in guise of giving them seminar and the seminar never happened.
This same APGA Governor in collaboration with PPSSC and Ministry of education forced every teacher to buy laptop from them through a proxy at the tune of 90,000 which will be deducted from teachers account at three installments. the laptops are worth 45,000 at market price and the academics are yet to recover from the crude shock and day light robbery
As part of measure to raise money, Anambra today levies N150 per Student in secondary school per term as examination levy. They pay this directly to the Bank, multiply the numbers of Students with the said amount
Why would the academics, professors, teachers and student vote for Willie come 2017?
The sports sector has also been abandoned. Most stadiums built by the past administration are in ruins. Onitsha people are not happy that Willie Obiano has Abandoned the Stadium at Awka road and Fegge to rot. Both stadiums are in a state of great disrepair. Even the noble ventures and capital investment in sports by some great Anambarians like  Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and others who has a think home mentality has not been recognized, supported or promoted by the government of the day.
How will the Students, the youths and Sports lovers at large vote a man who has displayed zero commitment to sports? Tell me how?
Indeed all Anambarians have in one way or another been negatively affected by the senseless squandermania and crude style of taxation being witnessed in Anambra State.
The contractors are worse hit. These days, The qualification for bidding for a contract at Agu Awka is to be an Indigene of Aguleri. Anything else, You are on your own.
How then will The professionals, Business people and the industrialists heal their broken hearts and businesses to vote for Willie come 2017?
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE
The market women are wailing. They have been dislodged, Many were wounded, maimed and beaten silly before being thrown out of their shops. The most recent one occurred at "Ahia COKE" along the Onitsha-Asaba Expressway. These women know nothing else except that Willie used OSHA brigade to throw away their livelihoods.
How Will they vote for Willie?
The IPOB and MASSOB boys were also not spared. They were slaughtered in their numbers. Anambra State was unfortunately  the only State that witnessed a massacre and serious loss of lives during the peaceful protests. When you take time and listen to Radio Biafra. You will realize that only a man whom plans to fail will give Willie APGA ticket come 2017  The Average IPOB member hates Willie and that hatred has a passionate element enshrined because innocent blood has been shed.
How will they Vote for Willie?
What is left of APGA under Willie is the carcass just bearing the same name of this once great party. Since their is nothing to show for his time in office, His Aides often resort to uploading photos of achievement of the past administrations claiming that it was done by Willie.  that is actually meant to deviate attention rather than allow us to think straight. We must concentrate on finding our common enemy and redirecting our political radar once and for all for the common interest of APGA
Our electorate now looks forward to supporting a firm, institutional like, and poised APGA leadership which will guide the party into federal relevance.
Even in the southeastern governors forum, Willie is an outsider with little or no influence, How then do we expect APGA to grow beyond Anambra State when Wille cannot even influence decisions at the regional level?.
APGA has been held hostage and is suffering for the imposition of Willie Obiano on the party by Mr Peter Obi. The party cannot afford to continue in the grip of political hijackers who had no grass root political experience. I call them political hijackers because they were never there at the time of the formation of the party, and so did not share in the vision. I see Willie as detached from reality. If you look at the confusion that is going on, You will find out that APGA aghalu go a lot of people especially those who worked hard for the party in its formative days.
I call on all true sincere party-men and lovers/supporters of APGA to please pause and think. We need to keep sycophancy aside and re-strategize. We must sit down and consider what will become of us all if Willie loses, What will become of this great party, What will become of the FEDERAL IGBO POLITICAL AGENDA of APGA if Willie loses 2017. of course we all know the truth. Willie Cannot Win. Not with his level of economic recklessness, Squandermania, UNIGBONESS and draconian economic policies.
Even the praise singers and sycophant are not happy with willie after he slashed their pay by 50%. So who is left to vote for Willie? Majority of them has openly dumped Willie and would have dumped APGA entirely if not for the grassroot influence of Victor Umeh
In just Over 2 years, The local Currency component totaling close to N30 Billion naira in cash left by Mr Peter Obi has been spent, the assets/investment are being sold to companies of doubtful ownership, like the Onitsha Hotel and Convention Centre.
In Just Over 2 years, Governor Willie is already borrowing billions without any clear investment or repayment plans. Even the 156 Million Dollars (about 26 Billion Naira) saved in foreign currency is valued at over 38 Billion Naira due to interest accrued and rate of exchange. Obiano has not added one dollar to the savings after over two years in office.
Against common sense, Governor Obiano through the office of the First Lady spent sums close to N1billion on Christmas lights / decorations and fireworks whereas many roads in Anambra State are begging for rehabilitation.
Against common sense, Governor Obiano banned Okada. A sensible first term governor who had the interest of his party structure at heart would never make such a decision and enforce it on his first term.
Against common sense, Governor Obiano in this 21st century Spent Almost N1Billion on buying and feeding horses. As at today The where about of these horse are still unconfirmed as some reports suggest that they horses has been slaughtered for meat because of the economic meltdown.
Against Common sense, Governor Obiano spent N15billion on erecting piles of concrete at a federal highway in Awka without approval or repayment plan from the federal government. These piles of concrete has now started causing untold traffic gridlock on the same road.
The list of Willie's financial recklessness goes on and on
WHAT APGA MUST DO TO SURVIVE
APGA as a party must start hunting for Willie's replacement immediately because if Willie is allowed to carry the party flag come 2017, APGA will lose this state and cease to exist as a party.
APGA must start thinking beyond Anambra State and its poor southern region presence. APGA should go for a candidate who has a federal capacity and a zeal to reach-out and reconcile all aggrieved partymen beyond state borders not a man who didnt know people like Rochas Okorocha and other Southeastern political bigwigs prior to 2013.
APGA must start thinking home. We must never allow an unknown individual without any stake on ground to be imported from Europe or the Americas to come and collect party ticket as was done in 2013.
APGA needs a grassroot man who has visible investment in the state not a returnee who dosnt care about Anambra people or their investments.
APGA needs an economic guru who has established his/herself in private entreprise
APGA needs Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. Unfortunately Ifeanyi Ubah does not need APGA.
For APGA to survive, the BOT should as a matter of urgency approach Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and Persuade him to rethink his decision and run.
The miracle of 2013 cannot happen anymore because there is no goodwill and track record to make it happen again
