Nnewi Prison has 24 convicted inmates,244 awaiting trial inmates

Nnewi Prisons, built two years ago with a capacity to accommodate 160 inmates presently habours 268 inmates, out of whom 24 are convicted inmates while 244 are awaiting trial inmates.

So said the Deputy Controller of Prison in charge of Nnewi Prisons, DCP Aghalo Gabriel when Cutix Plc, a cable producing company in Nnewi, Anambra State, visited the prison and donated mattresses and digital camera worth about N500,000 to the prison.
