Lagos APGA peace moves collapse

Attempt  to unite the warring factions in the Lagos State Chapter of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has collapsed.
This followed the pulling out of the members of the former state chairman of the party, Amb. Adeshina Olayokun.
In a meeting held in Lagos at the weekend and attended by the state executives, local government chairmen and other notable stakeholders of the party in the state, Barr. Slyvester Ezeani, who was the congress elected legal adviser of the party, was unanimously adopted as the new state chairman of the party, while Barr. Patrick Ekwunife, who was elected secretary during the congress, retained his position.
Speaking after his adoption, Ezeani said their reason for breaking away was due to the failure of one Kayode Alabi, who was appointed on interim capacity to supervise the activities of the party in the state to harmonise the warring factions in line with the directive of the national executive of the party.
According to him, rather than do proper harmonisation, Alabi decided to make himself the sole administrator and began to pick those he felt he could work with.
He said that his group is the authentic group in Lagos APGA because they were elected through congress that was observed by INEC, police and DSS.
