The award was presented to him by the Purple Hope foundation, pet project of Miss Chidimma Okeke, the reigning Miss Anambra during the Anambra Charity Concert which held in Awka yesterday.
Presenting the award, Okeke said that Chief Ubah had in recent time led the the advocacy and empowerment drive for youths in all spheres especially through sports and wealth creation.
The pageant said that the concert was part of her project as a queen targeted at giving youths the opportunity to express themselves in the area of music, dance and comedy as well as reaching out to the less privileged.
She also lamented the danger of cervical cancer among women and called for early detection and preventing to forestall its damaging effect on the society. She expressed hope of sustaining the crusade against the disease even after the expiration of her reign in October.
The queen however identified paucity of fund as the major challenge in the execution of her projects and called on government and wealthy individuals as well as organisations to support her efforts.
In his acceptance speech, the publisher of Authority Newspaper, Dr Ubah thanked the organizers for recognizing his modest contributions to the society.
Chief Ubah represented by Comrade Emeka Kalu(Magic Finger) Special Assistant Entertainment, donated a cash sum of one million Naira and pledged his continued support to the foundation and the society at large.
Other individuals honored at the event include, the Anambra state First Lady, Dr Mrs Eberechukwu Obiano, the commissioner of police in the state, Mr Hosea Karma(CP)
The highlight of the event was presentation of gifts to some orphanage homes from across the state who equally participated in a dance competition and drama presentation.
