African Magic: ‘’Stop watching African Magic , says Ndubuisi Vincent Anaenugwu

From history,I have been able to confirm that no ethnic group loves Nigeria more than the Igbos. While the Igbo son-Nnamdi Azikiwe was busy building a strong united Nigeria, Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello were busy building their regions.The so called igbo coup of 1966 was actually frustrated by Ojukwu and few other senior military officers from the then former eastern Nigeria. Aguiyi Ironsi had opportunity of giving more political powers to the regions but wanted a strong united Nigeria like Zik.
Even when Igbos were slaughtered in the north after the assassination of Ironsi,Ojukwu still opted for one nigeria ,hence the trip to Aburi ,Ghana.
Igbo businessmen and women are seen investing everywhere in Nigeria while other tribes are not interested in Igboland.I can hardly see any building that belongs to an Hausaman in Awka where i live.
Even as at 1989,the Man who saw tomorrow-Gen Ojukwu,still wanted a better united and strong Nigeria.In his book-first published in 1989-BECAUSE I AM INVOLVED, page 56 and i quote' I see a Nigeria where sovereignty and power belong to the people;a Nigeria where the ruler is servant and the ruled, master; a Nigeria where rulers strive to satisfy the people at all times;i see a Nigeria where those who exercise power are accountable to the people; a Nigeria where public servants accept responsibility for inefficiency and bad advice;a Nigeria where abuse of office is severely punished and ill-gotten gains confiscated'
In page 64,the people General was disappointed that his good heart desire for Nigeria was thrown to the dogs,he lamented thus ' Each year,the future looks even more bleak,the rich get fewer and fewer,the poor get more and more destitute.Sooner or later the dispossessed of this land will have to unite against this progressive demoralisation of the common man.Sooner or later,the common man will balk at a life that has become an intolerable burden.Iam not by nature a pessimist,yet i feel obliged to caution that if we fail to heed the warning implicit in today's tension,then we owe it to ourselves to prepare and gird our loins for the inevitable bloody confrontation'
The above was Gen Ojukwu position as at 1989 under IBB region.Did anybody take him serious? Has Nigeria learnt any lesson from history?Has the situation improved in Nigeria? Ojukwu predicted for bloody confrontation if Nigeria did not learn how to serve the interest of the masses against the interest of few.Buhari told us few days ago that he feels the pains the masses are going through yet he travels to UK to treat ordinary ear problem.Yet he lives inside Aso Villa that is comparable to 'Heaven' Yet he uses electricity 24 hrs .Yet ,he eats any kind of food he desires.
The masses of Nigeria are really suffering.Biafrans in Nigeria are targeted .The Niger Deltans are suffering in the midst of plenty.Their environment has been polluted yet somebody said Nigeria unity is not negotiable.Yet somebody said the Avengers are not fighting a just war.
I will recommend that we keep this book-Because I am involved side by side with the Holy Bible.The people General has given us all the solution but it takes a sincere heart to appreciate the wisdom donated to Biafrans via Ezeigbo Gburugburu.
