Please do not harm our son, Agulu people Beg Obiano

www.odogwublog.com reports that the life of the former Governor Peter Obi is in danger. Agulu people under the auspices of Agulu Leaders of Thought(ALT), has begged Gov. Willie Obiano not to harm, not to talk of killing their son, Mr. Peter Obi. This was contained in a release by the group signed by their interim Secretary, Chief Joachim  Emegwamuo.

Part of the statement from the group reads: "When the news of threat to the life of our son, Mr. Peter Obi started circulating, we ignored it as one of those online rumour until  Barr. Joe Martins Uzodike made allusion to that in a programme on Blaze Radio. Our investigations also revealed that Mr. Peter Obi related it to Chief Willie Obiano's Omamballa people during a peace meeting in the house of Chief Nwobu Alor on Saturday, the 11th of June."

The group said they were aware that it was Obi who, single handed, made Obiano the Governor and that they were aware of several indignities Obi is suffering under him, ranging from lack of respect to continued and inexplicable witch-hunting.

"Obiano had to redeploy a Permanent Secretary from Lagos to Awka because he allowed a vehicle at the Anambra State Liaison Office in Lagos to run errands for Obi's wife; Obiano and Sir Victor Umeh requested in the presence of Bishops that Obi should leave APGA; Obiano sponsored two damaging films on Obi produced by a staff of Anambra State Broadcasting Service, Mr. Egbuna Amuta that was aired severally on ABS, AIT, Channels, and many other stations and distributed freely to Anambra people;  Obiano has deliberately allowed his aides to abuse Obi to the point of openly denying the over 75 Billion Naira bequeathed him; Obiano has abandoned all the projects started by Obi upon which he was elected thus casting Obi as unreliable among Anambra people; Obiano has made a hobby of commissioning Obi's completed projects, claim them as his and in some cases changed the plaques; Obiano openly told his EXCO members not to associate with Obi in any manner and went on to relieve them of their functions for being close to Obi; Obiano's aides led by his Special Adviser,  Mr. Chinedu Obidigwe always carried placards against Obi and in one instance had written on the placard carried by the same Chinedu, 'Obi bu Kriminal,';  Obiano once visited Obi's town and while speaking to his people, told them how unreliable and tricky their son is, etc" the group submitted.

Furthermore, the group said  that if Obiano who declared war against  Obi even before he was sworn in cannot appreciate what Obi,  with his town's people lining behind him, did for him, he should allow them be rather than deepening their sorrow and agony  by  adding threat to  life to their  already regret-filled experience under him.

"Anambra politics is not synonymous with political murder and assassination and we hope and pray it remains like that", the group concluded and added a caveat that if anything happens to Mr. Peter Obi or any of his aides, that Obiano should be held responsible.
