Unizik VC welcomes Obi to Varsity

The Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku, FAS has described the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi as a man of Excellence who has contributed significantly to the Igbo nation and to educational development in the state.

The Vice-Chancellor stated this at a courtesy visit led by the Dean, Faculty of Arts, Rev. Fr. Prof. B. A. C. Obiefuna to kick-start the 2016 Annual International Conference of the Faculty of Arts with the theme: “Humanities and Human Development”.

Prof. Ahaneku while welcoming the guests in his office commended members of the Faculty for organizing such event stressing that no nation can develop without an efficient human capital.

He expressed appreciation to the immediate past Governor of Anambra State for finding time to visit the University and for honouring the invitation.

Other resource persons present at the courtesy visit include the keynote speaker, His Royal Highness Igwe Ambassador Lawrence O. C. Agubuzu, OON Eze Ogbunechendo of Ezema Olo, Chairman Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, and Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria and members of his cabinet.
