Uke Igweship tussle drags to court as two brothers emerge

As Igweship tussle between two brothers of same biological parentage deepens in Uke,  Idemili North local Government Area, Anambra state, the  elder brother, (plentiff) Dr Boniface Bartholomew Chukwudi  Agbala, dragged his junior sibling, Quantity Surveyor Charles Chukwuma Agbala who is contesting with him and six  others (defendants) to an Idemili High court sitting in
Ogidi, to seek justice.

The plentiff is seeking among other reliefs, a declaration that under the Uke Development Union, UDU, constitution of  2007 that two candidates can not emerge from the same ward  (Uruezeani/Uruabor) to contest for the throne of Uke community and that going by the UDU constitution of 2007 that the junior brother was not qualified to contest the throne with him when he (elder) had already declared interest to contest and was duely nominated by the ward and  won the selection exercise .

 Dr Agbala also pleaded that the selection committee acted in breach of the UDU constitution 2007 by submitting the name of his junior brother to the Uruezeani /Uruabor Patriotic Union and Xentral Executive Committee of UDU the name of his  junior brother when the plentiff was already in the race  before that of the junior brother and that both are from  same biological parents.

 He also prayed for a general damage of #20million against all the defendants for causing him to incur expenses in running for the throne of Uke community.

Also he asked for an order of perpetual injunction injuction against his junior brother, agents, privies and servants and the defendants or successors from parading himself or other  defendants or any other person other than himself as theIgwe-elect of Uke.
