IPOB members disrupt Governor’s speech in UK

Imo state Governor , Rochas Okorocha was invited by Chatham House, to speak on his free education programme from primary to University level and other human capital development initiatives by his government.
Governor Rochas Okorocha’s speech on the importance of developing human capital in Nigeria, was disrupted by supposed members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the United Kingdom.
Okorocha was invited by Chatham House, to speak on his free education programme from primary to University level and other human capital development initiatives by his government.
Sun News reports that as the Governor got up to speak, an IPOB member stood up and started talking about the group’s agenda.
Reports say the government officials with the Imo Governor made an effort to stop him from disrupting the meeting.
While they were trying to stop the young man from disrupting the Governor’s speech, another young man mounted the podium with the Biafran flag.
He was however stopped by some Nigerian officials who were with the Governor.
They IPOB members later left, after they were persuaded by Governor Okorocha’s aides.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently arrested three top officials of Rochas Okorocha's government for allegedly diverting N2bn bailout funds meant for the payment of salaries.
