Breaking news: INEC suspends poll in 4 Rivers LGAs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the ongoing legislative rerun election in Bonny, Gokana, Abuah-Odua and Andoni local government areas of Rivers state.

This is as a result of widespread irregularities that have marred the exercise.

There have been incidents of violence across most parts of the state. An INEC official told The Authority  that dynamites were used to blow up the commission’s office in Gokana, while electoral materials were hijacked by suspected thugs in Bonny.
