The Rosary is in the Bible- A rejoinder By Polycarp Onwubiko

I wish to refer to the 3-serial religious article captioned “The Rosary is in the Bible”, The Authority, January 17, 2016.It is worth saying to the knowledge of serious minded Christians that God in his infinite mercy has raised ministers of the gospel who have thoroughly explained every verse in the Bible through what is called “Study Bible” [e.g. Dake Bible, Spirit Filled Life Bible] which has destroyed the lies Satan used in distorting the word of God which had blocked the spiritual minds of Christians. Bible commentators in this day and age when knowledge has blossomed should not merely be contented in copious quotations of the Bible to supposedly back up one’s denominational doctrines to keep their adherents who cannot read wide in the dark.
In this end-time when events point to the imminent second advent of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it is inevitable to counter teachings based on the supposed “traditions of the Apostles and many things Jesus Christ did but not recorded in the Bible”. Therefore, one should not pick offence to see feed-backs from comments since the essence is to embrace the truth about worshipping God.

It is lamentable that most of the bible quotations in the 3-serial articles were deceptive. For instance, the assertion that the “Catholic Church does not derive her certainty” about revealed truths from the Holy Scriptures alone and both scripture and tradition are accepted and honored with equal sentiments of devotion and reverence cannot be tolerated by heaven-bound Christians in the Dispensation of Grace. Let the supposed “tradition” be reproduced in books to enable people analyze them with the assured illumination of the Holy Spirit. This is because traditions [cultural and religious] are replete with controversies, lies, imaginations, half-truths. Satan has never wanted man to know the truth about the power in the word of God. Thus, to leave the impression that those “traditions and other things did by Jesus Christ not written by the Apostles” remain in the exclusive custody of the Catholic Church cannot be acceptable by other Christians in a frantic search for truth complete knowledge of God.

The Apostles did not write only letters as claimed because the wrote things which were in accordance with the advice of Jesus Christ that He would send them the Holy Spirit who would guide them in ALL TRUTHS. Consequently, the Apostle who were sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit knew that when they were gone, the father of lies-[the Devil] would pollute what they had written which included the correct application of few practices in the Old Testament mode of worship in the Mosaic laws, which are relevant in the New Testament; Christian religion. The Apostles therefore warned Christians not to hearken to any other teaching, even if it is from Angels.
God was mindful of the confusions and distortions which the so-called “traditions of the Apostles and some things which Jesus Christ did and said which were not recorded” anointed men who edited the plethora of writings of religious leaders during the practice of Mosaic laws and early Christianity. The Apostles were apprehensive of the distortions in the multifarious scriptures which were not guided by the Holy Spirit on the Christian coverts and prevailed on them to burn the books and embrace their teachings which they needed for salvation and eternal life. The selected chapters in King James Version of the Holy Bible are sufficient for salvation and eternal life. Therefore,
Christians do not need the so-called “tradition” of the Apostles and things Jesus Christ did which were not recorded since no one would guarantee which one was corrupted and distorted since what the Devil is after is to deceive, kill and destroy.
To say that “the cross symbolizes human nature, suffering, death, standard of Christianity; the vertical symbolizes the divine, of life and resurrection,” is fallacious because cross had been in use for executing criminals by the Romans Empire. It is fallacious and brazen heresy to make the sign of the cross purporting to be representing the Holy Trinity:“God-the-Father” on the fore-head, “God-the-Son” on the chest; while divinely independent “God-the-Holy Ghost” is sacrilegiously divided into two: on the left shoulder is the “Holy” while the right shoulder is the “Spirit”. The two shoulders are horizontal.
Sign of the cross does not even relate to baptism since baptism [immersion into water] came with John the Baptist, hence he baptized Jesus Christ during his ministry before   Christians adopted it to signify death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Cross does not connote resurrection to eternal life and Holy Trinity because it was an instrument in the Roman Empire for the execution of criminals. Jesus Christ was condemned as a criminal and executed along with two criminals.
God had anointed [spiritual laying of hand or spiritual pouring of spiritual oil on Samson and David in their mothers’ womb with supernatural power in before they did supernatural exploits like killing lions and bears. David was able to kill Goliath with that supernatural power and later, the physical oil with which he was anointed was a rite in the coronation of kings.
It is heresy to say that Virgin Mary was the mother of God since God-the-Father has been eternal; along with God-the-son and God-the-Holy Spirit. It was not only Mary that was extolled as blessed. Judges Chapter 5; 24 says: “blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be blessed shall she be above women in the tent.” Virgin Mary was like every mortal but was simply chosen to be a channel for the incarnation of God-the –son to redeem mankind from sin and restore eternal life. Mary was not the only dead person whose body was removed and buried elsewhere for obvious reason; same was done for the body of Moses and Elijah.
The Creed cannot be the summary of biblical teachings because the Bible is the word of God which is “spirit and life” and pathway to eternal life, not rosary and statutes of Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ and the so-called saints. Saint is clearly defined in the old and new testaments as people who strive to live their lives according to the word of God in the Bible; and one wonders when God crowned Virgin Mary “Queen of Saints”. The supposed “mysteries of the holy rosary” is the deception of the devil as he is capable to craft miracles. Jesus Christ is the only the Mediator [the way, the life and the truth] between God and man.
It is laughable that the author never understood Revelation 12:1 which he quoted. Here comes the imperative of reading study bible to have the revealed truth of the bible. The commentary in the Spirit Filled Life Bible, King James Version explained Revelation 12:1 thus: “A great wonder points to a genuine reality. The Woman symbolizes God’s people, the faithful remnant of Old Covenant Israel[see Gen. 37;9; Isaiah 7;14, 26:17, 18,49:1-13; 66:7,8], through whom the Messiah came forth [12;4,5]. The red dragon of v.3 is identified in v.9 as the Devil [see Isaiah 27; 1. Seven heads represent complete authority, intelligence and cleverness, but not wisdom [see Prov.1:7]. Ten represents earthly completeness, which is therefore limited. Horns are symbol of physical and political strength. Seven horns represent political authority. The obsession of the dragon has been to thwart the purpose of God being worked out through the woman, the messianic community, and through the Messiah, her child. The woman is national Israel. The twelve stars symbolize the twelve tribes. She is pictured as a married woman travailing, about to be delivered of a faithful Jewish remnant.” Thus the procession with the statue of Virgin Mary and going to the graves on All Saints day are not biblical but idolatrous doctrines.
