Supreme Court: Wali, Tam- George, Wike's commissioner knock Sagay

Parting ways with his learned colleague, Prof Itse Sagay (SAN), over what he termed the perversity of the Supreme Court in validating the election of Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers and others, the immediate past President of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Okey Wali (SAN), has said that the apex court has set a comprehensive legal bargaining standards for determination of election disputes in Nigeria.

During the weekend, Sagay had told reporters in Warri at the weekend that: “The judgments are very perverse. Particularly, relating to Akwa-Ibom and Rivers. Everybody knows there were no elections in those two states. Everybody knows that people like Governor Wike climbed to the governorship seat over dead bodies and blood of human beings.’’
