PRESS RELEASE
AGAIN, PROTESTS AND CRISES ERUPT AT ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH HOUSTON AS BOARD CHAIRMAN FORSTER DURU AND COHORTS SCHEME TO REINSTATE ALLEGED CHILD-MOLESTING PRIEST THIS EVENING, WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2016 AT 7pm
1. The Nigerian community is facing a moral crisis and protests as controversial Board Chairman of All Saints Anglican Church Houston, Sir Forster Duru, and three other Board members are set on a path to return and impose their former pastor who voluntarily resigned August 1, 2015 following canonical, police and CPS investigations of his alleged improper sexual contacts with minors in the same church.
2. The Administrative Secretary, a married member, also complained that the pastor sexually harassed her. Because the Secretary complained, the Duru-led Board fired her on trumped-up allegations of theft never previously mentioned in her 5 years of employment.
3. It is important to note that the Head of the largest Anglican community in the world (The Church of Nigeria) The Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh has since ordered priests to stay away from All Saints due to the lawlessness, brigandage, and disregard for the protocols and values of the Anglican Church by the errant Board members.
4. The crises at All Saints is further complicated by the decision of the same Board members to “fire” the superintending bishop, which constitutes an unlawful, illegal and egregious abuse of Anglican tradition.
5. The divide and rule manipulation of the church membership into parochial and clannish divides has eroded church attendance from 700 to a little over 100. This has pushed the church closer to foreclosure because revenues have also declined sharply. We believe it is improper to bring a pastor back to the same church where parents can no longer trust him with physical and psychological wellbeing of their children. As law-abiding citizens, the Faithful members call on the Attorney General of the State of Texas to conduct immediate and thorough investigation of these allegations.
All Saints Anglican Church is at 13403 Renn Road, Houston TX 77083 in Southwest Houston (off Synott Road by Bissonnet Street)
