Uche Ekwunife: The Past and the Present – clearing the cobweb

“God does not consult your past to determine your future” – Mike Murdock.
I stood akimbo, perplexed and dejected when it came to my knowledge that Senator Uche Ekwunife had been bewitched and beguiled by the selected higgledy-piggledy in the State and Central arsenal of the Senatorial zone. I tried to figure out their reasons for such political summersault and lampoon straight away, but considered perhaps the need to clear some political cobwebs surrounding this lady with Midas touch in the era of pièce de résistance.
Mike Murdock said it with alacrity that God does not consult one’s past to determine his or her future when there is a clear repentance and turning a new leaf. This is true if we view it from the religious point of view. God said: come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool – Isaiah 1:18. This scriptural background has provision for every sphere of life because once it was said and twice was heard that power belongs to God.
Every human born of woman has past. The past could be ugly and could be bad even very bad as that could be. It is however common for man to visit the past of anyone in order to ridicule the person. It is a known truth that no anus or rectum is free from molecules of faeces when thoroughly viewed. But that does not count when one had turned a new leaf with his or her Maker – politically or otherwise.
It is true that the administration of Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju was marred in micro part of the entire strings of Anambra State life. It was never in full. I need to straighten it ab initio so that disgruntle element wouldn’t tackle aimlessly. Yes, we need to understand that whatever may have betided our Anambra as at the regime of Chinwoke Mbadinuju, he is to be held responsible. Chinwoke was elected as the first citizen of the State to pilot the affairs of our dear State. We had other arms of the government to serve as watch dog to each other for the sole purpose of good of Ndi Anambra.
If Uche Ekwunife is pointed in part of the entity to be responsible of what betided us then, I would quickly ask the Accuser the following questions:
1.    What was the office she was holding in the administration of Chinwoke Mbadinuju ?
2.    Was she acting in what capacity then?
3.    What transpired between Mbadinuju the then Governor and her?
4.    What and what was she doing that actually made her to be responsible?
If reasonable and logical answers cannot be provided on these questions; I would without delay declare that her past has no significant effect to her present transformed life in the secular and political life.
Uche Ekwunife’s present life in public and political life including her matrimonial home is something to be reckoned with. I am not here for political jingoism that has no reasonable benefits to the good of the State. For the first time in the political history of the Country a woman from the South East becoming the Chair of the Senate Committee on Petroleum – downstream sector. An enviable seat in the red carpet chamber of the Senate; could one tell me why the entire region should not celebrate her and give her the necessary support to bring back our portion in the land of the rising of the sun and across the Niger area?
Today, foolish, lubricious and disgruntled selfish individuals have decided to dance naked and become a faux pas instead of a fore-runner. I am finding it difficult to imagine the kind of stupor it would be called if politics is no longer for the good of the masses. Of what benefit would it do us to lose that seat at the Senate? Of a truth every reasonable and sound South-east zone must condemn what the State of Anambra and Central is conniving against the Senator Uche Ekwunife at this point. If we consider the past of Victor Umeh and his present, it would be hmmm, and then consider the past and present of Senator Uche Ekwunife and use the permutation and combination of 21st century political formula to assess them, the House of Representative zones Ekwunife had covered and her current tsunamic move from Federal to Anambra in delivering Boko Haram core-47, Awkuzu road and other places speak magnificently audacious. Her administration to us had witnessed a holistic representative that those that gained federal jobs, scholarship infrastructural developments etc know no bounds; it would be wow!
Why should Uche Ekwunife be marginalized from the Party that gave her ticket ab initio? Has she not been delivering her campaign promises? Has brown envelops crisscrossed between APGA led administration and PDP State counsel to betray Uche Ekwunife the Senator with hybrid gene in her blood?
