Senator Andy Uba warns ''My senatorial seat not an issue in S’Court case''

Senator Andy Emmanuel Uba, representing Anambra South Senatorial District, has urged members of the public, particularly the people of Anambra State, to disregard the insinuation that the verdict of the Supreme Court  in the case of Ejike Oguebego and others  versus People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and others, affected his seat in the National Assembly.
Uba, in a statement from his office in Abuja, said he was not a party to the suit just as his name or his seat was not mentioned at any stage of the suit which commenced in 2014 at the Federal High Court.
He added that the issue in contention in the case, decided by the Supreme Court, was the  Chairmanship of the Anambra State chapter of the PDP and the constitution of its State Executive Committee.
