Kogi new Governor, Bello sacks Wada appointees, Boards, parastatals

The Governor of Kogi State,  Alh. Yahaya Bello has yesterday directed all political appointees, members of boards and parastatals to handover to the immediate most senior civil servants in their respective offices with immediate effect. .
The Governor who issued the directive through his Chief of Staff, (CoS). Edward David Onoja, said this has become imperative to enable the new government commence the restructuring of the boards and parastatals where necessary.
The statement further said the new government intends to equally take stock of the state of the boards with a view to commence the process of repositioning them through new hands for efficiency and effective service delivery. .
According to the statement, signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kingsley Fanwo, said that the directive however does not affect three statutory boards and the Accountant General of Kogi State.
The boards not affected are: Judicial Service Commission, Civil Service Commission and State Independent Electoral Commission.
Governor thanks all the Chairmen and Members of the boards and parastatals for their services to the people of Kogi State and assured the people of the state of the readiness of his administration to move the state forward in a New Direction.
