Anambra Central: We want free, fair polls —PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure free and fair elections during the planned re-run polls for Anambra Central senatorial zone.
Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, who was elected senator on the platform of the party to represent the zone, was removed by the Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu, which also ordered for a re-run following a petition by the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh.
Addressing PDP supporters in Awka, the state chairman of the party, Prince Kenneth Emeakayi warned against using security operatives to intimidate voters as any attempt to do so would be an invitation to anarchy.
