Director General, Chief Victor Umeh campaign organization, Mr. Obele Chuka Obele has allegedly resigned his appointment, ending about ONE year of romance with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Obele Chuka Obele, a human rights lawyer was appointed the Director General, (DG) of Umeh Campaign Organization in the March, 2015 National Assembly election.
Umeh has allegedly appointed one Chief Odegba Oraukwu to replace Obele with immediate effect.
Though Obele swiftly refused to comment on his estranged relationship with Umeh which led to his resignation, sources said Umeh fell out with Obele after he lost at the National Assembly Petition Tribunal where he accused him of working against him during the election.
Chief Umeh it was further gathered had allegedly reported his former DG to the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Anambra state where he accused him of working against him in the March 28 election.
Obele it was gathered alleged that Umeh owes him to the tune of N20m and over N15m personal cash he sunk into Umeh’s campaigns.
But when contacted, Obele said:“ No comment! I do not wish talk about him. I do not know how you came about because I did not speak to anybody.

“My relationship with Ohamadike (Umeh) is strictly a private matter. I will appreciate if you let it remain at that level and let us talk on bigger issues that affect our State and country. People should learn to respect private matters and let it be at that”.
Meanwhile, efforts to speak with Chief Victor Umeh on the issue failed as he was not picking his calls.


Umeh reacts , says Chuka was not sacked but disengaged

Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone , Chief Victor Umeh yesterday dispelled the rumours making the rounds that he sacked his campaign organization chairman, Obele Chuka Obele.
Umeh in an exclusive text message from United Kingdom following inquiry from The Authority on the true Position said Obele voluntarily resigned and he appreciated his contributions to his campaign.
The text read: No! Chuka was not sacked. His appointment was for the election last year. Following the outcome of the election, and the prolonged litigation, he voluntarily disengaged as the DG of the campaign organization with effect from October31st, 2015. I appreciated his contributions to our campaign while he was with us……’’
