TRAGEDY: Scores Feared Dead as Gas Depot Goes up in Flames in Nnewi

Many are feared dead Thursday at Nnewi as a Gas Depot owned by Chicason group went up in flames.

The depot is located along traffic light at Nnewi-Okigwe road behind Innoson Motor Manufacturing industry.

The cause of the fire which started about an hour ago is yet to be ascertained as at press time.

The fire destroyed the Depot and its surroundings including some family compounds located beside it completely.

Some workers, customers and motorcyclists using the Depot road, workers are among those feared dead.

Men of the fire service and road safety are currently at the scene.
