Philanthropist fetes 5,000 widows and less privileged in Achi and the THEEE Initiative connection


www.odogwublog.com reports that over 5,000 widows and less privileged from four communities of Achi, Oji River local government area , Enugu state yesterday received free drugs, wrappers , tomatoes and rice as well as supplements to enable the celebrate the Christmas with ease from Target Health, Education and Economic Empowerment (THEEE) Initiative, a non -governmental organization.

The event was the presentation of food items, and wrappers to widows , indigents , Umungbu and Ggbalagu families of Enugu Achi, Oji River local government area, Enugu state. The scheme too takes care of Orphans, indigent brilliant students who are being sponsored to various level of education.

Beneficiaries of the scheme, including Linus Udeigwe, Theresa Azo and Adline Umeh prayed God to continue to bless the founder of THEEE initiative Lady U & Victor Obi Anadiume’s family for consistently remembering widows since 7 years running.

They prayed God for better health and protection for the family in accordance with His wishes since the family has been the succor for the widows and poor families in Achi community.

On their part, Deputy Commander, Enugu state community policing Intelligence, Mr Ernest Ndubuisi Ifeme known as Brazil in entire Enugu state; Mr Onyebuchi Obi Christian , a trader traced the benevolence of Lady U & Victor Obi Anadiume for the progress and development of Oji River community policing that restored peace and security in the zone as well as his philanthropist gestures to widows, challenged people, aged and the less privileged.

Ifeme insisted that the Obi Anadiume’s are God sent to Achi community as he facilitated the sacking of criminals with his donation of vehicles and logistics to the conventional police and community vigilance groups as well as drilling of borehole and taking care of the helpless widows.

But Obi traced some of his commitment to the community and Oji River council area to sponsoring churches and people abroad without attachment, describing it as enormous.

In his homily, the Vicar of St Mathias Anglican Church, Enugu Akwu, Achi, Rev Canon Arinze Okafor who was enthusiastic of the enumerated unconditional gifts and assistance Lady U & Victor Obi Anadiume has rendered to his people, and urged them to continue to pray for him and his family for God’s continued mercy and blessings tom enable him do more.

A Pharmacist, Mr Chuma Oguine from Anambra state assisted Lady U & Victor Obi Anadiume to distribute the drugs including pain relief drugs including Ibuprofen-400 to everybody  while the rice, wrappers , tomatoes and food supplements to the over 5000 people from Umuike, Ekwullofia, Umuorji and Umueze at the event.
In her keynote address, the Chairperson of the THEEE Initiative management committee Mrs Ifeoma Anayalebechi appreciated the founder of the Lady U & Victor Obi and the THEEE Initiative schemes, Lady U & Victor Obi which have assisted the Achi people tremendously.
Anyalebechi said: ‘’Lady U & Victor Obi and the THEEE Initiative are registered non-Governmental and non-profit making organizations set up with primary purpose of empowering the less privileged and down-trodden, helping the malnourished challenged infants, endowed indigents, widows/widowers to start business enterprise at grass roots/community levels within and outside the country, as well as sponsorships and supporting the youths in their endeavours through the provisions of soft and revolving loans which is still ongoing.

‘’The founding family; Lady U. & Victor Obi Anadiume have been and by the grace of God still remain the sole financier of all resources expended on the various projects activities since inception – over 7 years ago.
‘’Some of the activities includes; financial empowerment of poor and less-privileged citizens of various countries including men, women & youths of various kindred of the Nigerian and other international communities within & outside; sponsorship of schools scholarships; donations to various churches and security (local vigilantes & Nigeria Police Force inclusive) organizations; funding musicians tours and international sporting activities within and outside the country. Promotion of good health, alleviation of children medial health conditions are not left out of it. Other related services rendered by the NGOs include disbursement of interest-free revolving loan facilities to petty traders, artisans, market men & women, unemployed persons, apprentices from within and outside the country particularly Nigerians in Diaspora. Just to mention a few.

‘’We have equally expanded and extended the Foundations programmes to basic amenities by commissioning a bore hole water project to Achi community and donating computers which we consider to be basic requirements for all secondary schools in Oji-River LGA. It is a known fact that security personnel mobility vehicle maintenance is basically essential for the protection of life and property. Hence the refurbished police vehicle.

‘’The activities of these philanthropic organizations have impacted positively in the lives of many people within and beyond the state for more than seven (7) years now.

‘’With the interest free loan, people have expanded and are now gainfully busy with their businesses.

‘Through our free medical missions program, mortality rate has been reduced while our complementary feeding cereals and infant milk has improved the health of under-nourished children.

‘’Every year in the month of December, the foundations presents clothing’s and food to widows, indigents and orphans thereby giving them hope, joy and happiness of the Christmas season.

‘’Orphans, indigent brilliant students are being sponsored to various level of education.

‘’Local community vigilance is being enhanced by provision of vehicles and/or motorcycles.

‘’Problems of lack of water and water borne disease have been alleviated with “mmiri Eze” bore hole which has provided good drinking water.

‘’We are grateful to GOD that our great Foundations continues to leap and bounds under HIS guidance. We are proud of Lady U & Victor Obi Foundation and THEEE initiative for we share in the great legacy of Christians morals and ideals set by our founding parents Lady U & Victor Anadiume. As they continue to support Achi communities & others through thick and thin, may GOD provide and prospoer them in all their endeavours.
