Odogwu Media's Exclusive: CDC Commends Nigeria's Dr.Julius And Stella Kpaduwa for Ebola Survivor Delivery Care

www.odogwublog.com reports that two US-based Nigerian physicians, Dr. Julius Kpaduwa and Dr.Stella Kpaduwa, were recently commended along with some other staff of Greater El Monte Community Hospital "for the outstanding clinical care and critical support provided" to an Ebola survivor in delivering an Ebola-free child.

A letter dated 7 December, 2015, from the highly-renowned US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), signed by Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, Director, CDC and addressed to Dr Stanley Toy, the CEO of Greater El Monte Community Hospital in South ElMonte, California, specifically recognized Dr.Julius Kpaduwa "for rendering excellent obstetrical care" and Dr Stella Kpaduwa "for serving as the attending pediatrician at the birth."

The husband and wife team, recently handled the labor and delivery of Dr. Ada Igonoh, an Ebola survivor and pediatric care for her newborn.  It was the first recorded childbirth in the United States involving an Ebola survivor, resulting in an Ebola-free child.  Another Nigerian, Ms Ifeoma Ukoha, was also commended as part of the nursing staff that provided Dr. Igonoh and her baby "compassionate nursing care."
