Obiano apologizes to Okada Riders , asks them to ply all roads

www.odogwublog.com reports that following agitation and conclusion reached by Okada riders union in the state that they would not vote Governor Willie Obiano in his re-election bid, the Governor has rescinded his unpopular police on okada riders in the state.
Since the law, Okada riders have been at the mercy of security agents and all kinds of taskforce and Obiano police, paying between N1,000 and N5,000 to regain the seized motorcycle. The worst is that people living across the express have no way to carry their motorcycle across since the highways have been restricted for okada riders.
But this morning, this public service announcement emerged to the cheering of both riders and passengers because the policy was indeed frustrating then.
Public Service Announcement
The Government of Anambra State hereby lifts/removes the restriction
placed on Commercial (Okada) & Private Motor Cycle Riders in plying
some designated roads in the State in the spirit of the season. Okada
& Private Motor Cycle Riders can now ply all the Roads in the State
except the Enugu-Onitsha Express Road & Onitsha-Owerri Express Road.

However, this removal of restriction is on the condition that every
Motor Cycle Rider must wear a Crash Helmet and carry one passenger at
a time.

Every motor cycle rider in the state is by this announcement given one
month to procure crash helmets after which enforcement will be
commenced by the law enforcement agents.
Wishing you a merry Xmas and a prosperous 2016!
