New NPFL season to kick off after CHAN 2016

he 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), will begin after the African Nations Championship ends in February 2016.

NPFL matches were postponed during the qualifiers, affecting the calender for the league.

The tournament itself will run from January 16 to February 7 in Rwanda.

Some of the domestic clubs like Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Rangers and Sunshine Stars are expected to release their key players for CHAN, which was created for senior players plying their trade locally.

Enyimba FC of Aba were crowned champions in the 2014/2015 season – a record seventh title.
