Running mate to the late Abubakar Audu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Kogi State gubernatorial election, James Abiodun Faleke, will on Monday file his petition before the governorship election petition tribunal, reports Thisday.
He is challenging the decision of his party to replace the late Audu with Yahaya Bello, who is now the governor-elect.
He is insisting that he should have been declared governor-elect since he holds a joint ticket with his late principal in the November 21st governorship election in the state.
He is also challenging the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a supplementary election in the state, insisting that INEC should have declared him winner, since he had met all the electoral requirements in the November 21 election.
