Court of Appeal affirms Kashamu’s election as Senator

Chief Buruji Kashamu

The Court of Appeal in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Monday ruled that Senator Buruji Kashamu is the validly elected representative of Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Kashamu headed to the Court after the Ogun State Elections Petitions Tribunal ruled in favour of Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress.

The Tribunal had nullified the election of Kashamu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and ordered the conduct of fresh election in 109 wards to determine the actual winner of the seat.

In the course of the hearing, the Court of Appeal panel was disbanded over a controversial N150 million bribe allegedly given to the judges by Kashamu.

The new panel that gave Kashamu the victory on Monday.

  1. We are very glad in Ogun East because the Court of
appeal has affirmed Senator Buruji’s victory. Dapo
and his APC cohorts should go and commit suicide
because we don’t wan them in our Senatorial
district.Buruji is our choice and we are ready to go
any length to defend the mandate we voluntarily
gave to him. APC is dead in Ogun East. Dapo
Abiodun is a bad loser and a very stupid man.
Instead of him wasting his time/money on a lost lost
battle. He should have conceded defeat and lobbied
Buhari for Minister or but he has now lost totally
because Buhari has appointed minister. Anyway, I
don’t even care about this greedy man called
Abiodun. I’m happy that despite the fact that APC
bought the tribunal judgement for #150 million
Naira and Justice prevail at the end of the day.
They say senator Kashamu bought his way into
    power.
How else do you get into power under the western
system of democracy which we have adopted? If we
are using Western system of government to elect
    the
wrong people to high office, maybe we should
    blame
the system and dump it. Kashamu did not invent
money bag politics. It is the same in the west.
America is worst on the planet for money bag
    politics.
The Ukrainian boxer, Vitali Klitschko wanted to run
for the presidency of his country because he got
money bags from sport. Manny Pacquiao another
boxer is a member of the Philippine House of
Representatives, and George Wear is now a
successful politician in Liberia because he had
    money
    to burn.
It is alleged that Sarkozy took money from Ghadafi
    to
fund political campaign and had him killed before
    he
could confirm it and now they want his son. Western
democracy is money bags democracy and politicians
are not always too scrupulous about the source of
their campaign funds. Senator Buruji Politicking is to
empower the less privilege with his hard earned
money via his philanthropic gestures. Congratulation
once again to SPBK. Buruji!!!!!! Kashamu!!!!!!!

  2. NIGERIANS SHOULD HELP US BEGGING SAHARA REPORTER NOT TO DESTROY SENATOR BURUJI KASHAMU IMAGE ANYMORE

Sahara reporter is at it again! Senator Kashamu has paid more than his dues to the good people of Ogun-East, Ogun State, Southwest and Nigerian as a whole and that's the reasons behind his overwhelming support during Electioneering and Unlawful NDLEA travails. I thought the board of directors and trustees of this Sahara Reporter have changed the module of writing of the said media house? Instead, they are continuing to be sinking in a big river. Sahara Reporter is fading day by day in the eyes of good citizens of this Country bcos of their nonchalant attitude this days and their False Information cannot be taken serious anymore. We all known where the Management Of Sahara Reporter belong to, as far as Senator Buruji Kashamu issues is concern and that your "OPERATION PULL SENATOR BURUJI KASHAMU DOWN SYNDROME" cannot work and it will not stop Nigerian from accord him unblemished support he deserves.
