Former president Goodluck Jonathan is set to undergo questioning from officials at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding the arms deal scandal, Naij reports.
Following reports that Jonathan's name has appeared several times in an investigation into the scandal, the anti-graft organisation is set to write Jonathan on the matter.
The EFCC has since disclosed that they would need permission from current President Muhammadu Buhari in order to set the plan in motion.
Following the recalling of former National Security Minister Sambo Dasuki, the EFCC has also revealed plans to invite chieftains from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in for questioning relating to the scandal.
Among those expected to be invited for questioning is Chief Tony Anenih, former Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, as well as Chief Bode George, Former Deputy National Chairman, both of whom are believed to have received funds that were meant to go towards the procurement of arms.
