APC gives Fayose ultimatum to account for Ekiti monies

All Progressives Congress (APC)The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has given Governor Ayodele Fayose a deadline of seven days to give accounts of all monies he has received from the federal allocation since he assumed office in 2014, reports Daily Trust.

The party said the finances should also include those realised from various taxes imposed on the people of the state.

The party said the civil servants, whom the governor owed three months salaries and allowances, as well as Ekiti people deserve to know how their monies are being spent.

The party in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, noted that the failure of Fayose to render the accounts will compel APC to mobilise civil society groups and all men of good conscience to press for the investigation and prosecution of Fayose who has made lying his official government policy.

The party said the governor will have his days in the courts over fabricated figures on the state’s debts to deceive the people.
