Tribunal’s ruling claims first victim in Taraba

PDPFor hailing the verdict of the Taraba Governorship Election Petition  Tribunal, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sacked its Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the state, Napoleon Adamu.
He was kicked out for anti-party activities.  Addressing newsmen in  Jalingo, secretary to the party in the  state, Koria Auta  said the resolution to  fire Adamu was reached to serve as deterrent to others. He maintained that the expelled PRO was acting out a script prepared by the  APC-led Federal Government.
Adamu  had, in an interview with a national newspaper, told the people of Taraba State to accept the tribunal’s verdict in good faith and cooperate with  Senator Aisha in moving the state forward. He also disclosed there was actually no primary on the said date of the election in Abuja.
With a peaceful demonstration by the  Women’s Wing  of the Taraba chapter  of the PDP in solidarity with  Governor Darius Ishaku, the party`s Working Committee  condemned  the  tribunal’s verdict and, described it as a miscarriage of justice, saying the  judgment is not acceptable as it would be challenged  and pursued up to the apex court.
