Tragedy struck in Anambra as truck crushes 7 dead

Tears and weeping took over Umunze yesterday as tragedy struck Anambra state . A truck crashed into a Mitsubishi bus along Ufuma-Ajalli-Umunze  road, Orumba North local government area killing 7 people.



Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra state , DSP Okechukwu Ali confirmed the figures adding that another 7 were responding to treatment at a nearby hospital.



He said the police assisted in the rescue mission shortly after the accident, taking the living to the hospital and the dead to a nearby morgue.




He blamed recklessness on the part of the truck driver as the cause of the accident.
