Tinubu, Govs, Senators Stranded at Abuja Airport

Inclement weather Thursday prevented important personalities from flying to New Bussa to attend the Seventh Day fiddau prayers for the late Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Halliru Dantoro.

After gathering at Abuja Airport in readiness for the trip, pilots informed the dignitaries that bad weather along Minna-Borgu axis will make the trip difficult.

The leaders promptly gathered at the VIP wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to render prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for the peace, unity and stability of the nation.

Among those whose chartered flights could not make it to the event were national leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Bisi Akande, Governors of Sokoto and Niger states, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and Abubakar Sani Bello respectively.

Others in the entourage were Senators Ahmed Lawan, George Akume and Abu Ibrahim
