No money but N100m approved to renovate Government House

The Jigawa State Government has disclosed that it has approved N100 million for the renovation of the presidential wing of its Government House, Dutse.

The state's Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, made this known on Thursday, November 5.

He said the state's Executive Council gave the approval at a meeting, noting that the intention is to provide a befitting structure for that part of the government house.

Ibrahim said the council also revoked four road contracts in the state over non-performance pf the contractors.

The contracts revoked included Gagarawa-Bosuwa Road, Kila-Budunga Road and Gwaram-Basirka Road.

According to the Commissioner, the council also directed all farmers who collected tractors on loan from the state government to pay back with immediate effect or face prosecution.
