che Mefor, the deputy leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has replied popular Catholic priest, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka following his criticism of the pro-Biafra protest across South-East and South-South states.

Responding to Mbaka's statements, Mefor took a swipe at the controversial clergy in a broadcast on Biafra Radio, where the IPOB reportedly denounced him as a compromised priest speaking from both sides of his mouth.

In a report by Vangaurd Newspaper, Mefor, reportedly stressed that “Biafra and the struggle of its people is more than money, hence the need for the release of the leader of the Radio Biafra Director and Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Mefor noted that the youths are protesting against injustice, oppression and subjugation, which is motivating them to seek their freedom because they have seen the truth after proper enlightenment.

The deputy leader, who is holding forth for detained Kanu, wondered why Mbaka could not find courage to condemn Nigeria government’s extrajudicial detention of Kanu.

Kanu has been held in detention by the Department of State Services for almost a month, despite having been granted bail by the court.
