www.odogwublog.com reports that though Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu was declared second after the keenly contested election, he indeed won the election against Emma Ifesinachi on the first ballot  without harassment but did not get the crown.
He was not given a chance by even his members in the Correspondent’s Chapel as they supported his opponent Abuchi Nwozor of ABS who they believed in, against natural course of contest and Odogwu would have disgraced them and their sponsors until Anambra state government came out strong against Abuchi and Odogwu.
But for the intimidation and harassment of job lost and denial of promotion by state ministry of Information Directors and some top government representatives, Odogwu had supporters across board and would have emerged winner.
The Ministry of Information chapel claimed they have 168 information officers when added up with 68 information officers at local government, nobody would contest an election with them and win but even at that Odogwu had everything going for him until government came in with threats and sharing money openly against Odogwu at the election venue.
Abuchi Nwozor group would have rallied round Odogwu to win the election but pride never allowed them even when they saw the handwriting on the wall and both parties failed after Nwozor group and some hirelings struggled to thwart the election for an interim leadership which Odogwu resisted. Odogwu believed the election should go on as NUJ should continue to be exemplary in all matters.
Odogwu’s joy was that he defeated all those who ganaged up against him as he has already congratulated Emma Ifesinachi and assured to assist him do his work while waiting for the next election if life permit.  He thanked all his supporters for believing in him. He wishes Ifesinachi well but challenged him to implement his manifesto for the development of members of NUJ in Anambra state.
