Commissioner of Police Inspects Awgbu police Station Under Construction


Awgbu community, in Orumba North Local Government Area, will soon boast of having the most deserved police station ever in Anambra State.
The Deputy Commissioner of police Anambra State,Mr J B Kokumo inspected the level of work in the ongoing police Station which is being done by an illustrious Son of the Community, Chief Sir Okey Ezeibe as to contribute to the development of his town and to support Gov. Willie Obiano in his quest to give Ndi Anambra  security .
Awgbu police post was run in a rented uncompleted building, before Chief Ezeibe decided to give Awgbu people a befitting police station.
Before the arrival of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, who represented the CP on the inspection tour, an advance team led by the Area Commander Nnewi zone arrived early to give a report on the situation on ground.
The area commander  was accompanied by the DPO Ajalli police Division.T he area commander going round the project, commended the level of work done so far.
On arrival, the DCP who came later, carried out  a proper inspection on the construction as required ,he commended the quality of work and  the   solidity of the building .Although ,he dictated some minor errors inside the building, which he directed the contractor to correct.
The Executive Chairman of Orumba north,Chief Okey Enekwe, promised  the DCP that the project will be ready for commissioning as scheduled on  friday, 27/11/2015,when  it will  be officially handed over to Nigeria police.  -------courtesy Ernest Igboanugo.
