Child Traffickers Syndicate Invaded Anambra West L.G.A

                                                       
 Miss Uju is a  girl of about 16 years of age who leaves with her parent Mr. and Mrs. Anijah Silvanus Nnalue at Umuoba-Abegbu in Anambra west local of Anambra State, one thing leads to another she got pregnant and delivered of a baby boy on 16th of September 2015. Then one day according to her, precisely on 23rd of the same September her mother was approached by one Mrs. Iveonu  a.k.a  Owulu that she  Mrs. Iveonu brought a husband for her and the man was introduced as Mr. Onyekachi Agbata, the would be husband.

According Miss Uju, there were four of them that came that very day, a lady introduced as Chinyere a sister to Onyekachi and a man who was also introduced as Onyekachi's brother. They insisted in fulfilling the marriage rites except for the dowry (bride price) and go with her. Then I asked her how could she accept someone you do not know as husband, even her parent knew nothing about the would be husband talk less knowing his family and his village simply because they knew the lady that is Mrs. Iveonu who brought the would be husband to them and she answered that when thing were going on she could not fathom what came over her and she was agreeing to everything they said.

Quickly Mrs. Iveonu Nnalue Okechukwu  a.k.a Owulu of Umuoke quarter Umuoba Anam went to fetch Mr. Anijah Sylvernus Nnalue her father from the farm. Miss Uju in her storyline said that they insisted they would go with her and the baby (23rd September. a week baby). Finally she went with them and slept at Awkuzu that night and the following day, they proceeded to Onitsha where she met two other girls who equally during interaction, narrated the same ordeal to her. According to her the place they lodged her with other two girls at Onitsha was a three storey building, but she could not remember exactly the location at Onitsha.
She stated that her phone was taken away from her and her baby too. They were not allowed to go out of the flat. At a point she became worried and started asking for her baby. At this point, they told her that they have taken her baby to where he would be taken to United State of America. She told them that they must bring back her baby. When her trouble became so much, they took her to a room filled with fetish shrine and force her took an oath that she not divulge what happened to anybody.

After about a month, she escaped and followed them to without them knowing that she have escaped and trail down to Otuocha in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State where they went for their usual business and she quickly sent for her father. Who came and reported to the Police post at UMUOBA Anam who eventually arrested them including the person who the baby was transferred to and later transferred the case to state command AWKA.  After some days her baby was released to her.  As am taking with you right now, the member of the syndicate are out from police custody and are now threatening our lives Uju said.

Reacting to this,  the Supervisor for Education and Social Development, Anambra West LGA Hon. Nneli Cliff Ike, called on the government to ensure that the suspect are brought to book so that it will serve as a deterrent to other people who are into this kind of business.. He called on the NAPTIP to wake up to this challenge and on the rural dwellers, and traditional rulers to ensure that their teens are protected from bad people who takes advantage of their rural life and disadvantages.
