The Senate on Tuesday received a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking it’s approval for US200 million loan for Lagos state development policy II.
Moving the motion by the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume moved that , the Senate ”consider the request of Mr President, Commander-in-Chief, for special approval of Lagos State Development Policy Operation (DPO) loan (Budget Support) of US200 million from the World Bank.”
After deliberations, the request was referred to Ad-hoc Committee on Foreign and Local debt headed by Senator Kabiru Gaya from Kano State.
