The Nigerian Army has said its Special Forces, supported by Nigeria Air Force aircraft, have killed about 40 Boko Haram terrorists.
Defence Headquarters disclosed this in a statement, detailing the operations which occurred at the north east epicentre.
It said advancing troops of 154 Task Force Battalion of 29 Task Force Brigade, swept the insurgents' camp at Matali, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and seized weapons and improvised explosive making devices.
The army had on Monday carried out raids and attacks on Boko Haram camps in the zone, where a rocket-making factory was discovered and seized.
However, in the last 48 hours, the terrorists have killed more than 40 people in Adamawa and Kano states in separate suicide bombing attacks.
