Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has revealed that he would like to one day return to the club in the coaching capacity. The 35-year-old Spanish superstar and world cup winner moved to Qatar to play for Al-Sadd after the success-laden 24 years at the Catalan club. The 133 caps midfielder almost left the club in 2014 but elected to stay and was rewarded with the treble in 2015.
Since moving to the oil rich region, the midfielder has scored two goals in his four appearances but is taking his coaching badges and has now revealed his dream of turning out for the club as a coach in future. In his words; "I like the pitch, been close to the actual football, what happens to the game itself. I'm going to learn the trade; I have already started my education here at the Aspire Academy." said the Catalan legend. I'm following the spanish football from over here while i am still playing, and i am really enjoying myself. After that, i don't know what the future will hold for me but of course i will like to return to the Barcelona bench some day, that's my ultimate aim and the closer it is to the pitch the better."
Barcelona have made a rather laboured start to their title defense, losing two of their opening seven games and lie in third place in the Spanish la-liga table. The club have conceded a lot of goals already, judging by the standard they set last season when they conceded the fewest number of goals in the league.
