Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has commiserated with Elder Lawrence Amadioha and his family on the loss of their matriarch.

The Governor, who described the Matriarch, late Mrs. Eunice Amadi as a very quiet person, said that her demise is an irreparable loss to the family.

“We have come to condole with you and participate in the burial of a good Christian woman who lived a worthy life and has gone to meet her creator. We urge you to take heart and be rest assured that we will continue to be with you.” Governor Wike said.

Governor Wike described Elder Lawrence as a good leader and courteous person.

He also remarked that the departed matriarch, who lived an exemplary life, bequeathed a morally sound upbringing to her children and grand children that money cannot buy.

“ We are glad that your mother left some legacies which people can attest to that money is not everything, but living a good and fulfilled life is important” He emphasized.

Wike regretted that late Mrs. Amadi died without reaping from her efforts and hard work of raising a son who has become an accomplished politician.

The State Chief Executive enjoined the son of the deceased to take heart and not depart from the legacy of good moral upbringing he got from his mother.

The Chairman of the PDP Elders Forum and Chief mourner, Elder Lawrence Amadi ,thanked the governor for making time out of his busy schedule to commiserate with him.

His words:” Let me sincerely thank you for finding time to pay us this condolence visit. Apart from coming to sympathize with us, let me also use this opportunity to thank you for making me proud in Obio/Akpor, especially with the on-going Ogbogoro/Ozuoba/ Rumuolumeni road construction"
