UBEC: State govt. disburse N733m fund

www.odogwublog.com reports that the state government will soon disburse seven hundred and thirty-three million naira Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC intervention fund to all the mission schools partnering her.
Governor Willie Obiano announced this during the first triennial convention and Golden Jubilee Anniversary of the Adazi-Nnukwu Catholic Women’s Organization at Saint Andrew’s Parish Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha Local Government Area.

Governor Obiano who was represented by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, said as usual the Catholic Church will receive a total sum of four hundred and thirty-three million naira while the Anglican Church will receive three hundred million naira based on the number of schools handed over to them by the state government.

He assured that his administration will always partner the church for all round development of both human and infrastructural development while urging Mothers to always respect their husbands in addition to inculcating sound morals in their children, whom he described as future leaders.                       
 The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Mrs. Uju Nwogu who was honoured at the event alongside the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Re-orientation, Mrs. Mitchelle Onugbolu, enjoined parents to always place high premium on the Education of their children.

In her welcome address, the President Catholic Women’s Organization, Saint Andrews Parish Adazi-Nnukwu, Lady Obiageli Asiegbu said the triennial convention was aimed at encouraging people to take active part in evangelism.

Earlier,  in a homily , the Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Jonas Benson Okoye urged Christians to use their individual talents in working out their salvation
