Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, District 1, Dr. Mrs. Yinka Ayandele has urged teachers in the State to show more commitment to their profession and embrace new technology in teaching aids.

Speaking in Lagos, yesterday, at a capacity building workshop for teachers, tagged: “Effective and Innovative Training Tools and Technique for Public School Teachers”, organized by Majekodunmi Foundation, Ayandele stated that with the obsolete classroom teaching method, education in the country can get better when new technology is introduced.

“Education has gone beyond what it used to be before. There is a new advancement in teaching method and technological approach towards better teaching. Besides the improvement, we have not gotten there yet. This is the reason an organization like MAM foundation identified and created this programme for capacity building to enhance education systems in the country” she said.

The workshop which was implemented with the support of Lagos State Ministry of Education is MAM foundation’s initiative for sustainable intervention in the area of education.
