New York – Chelsea’s forward Pedro Rodríguez said it was a good decision for him leave Barcelona and sign for the ‘Blues’.

According to Spanish media, the Spain national player, who left Camp Nou, said that it was hard for him to go, but once he got to Stamford Bridge, he settled in well.

“I am now happier. The adaptation has been faster because I’ve been treated very well by the team, accompanying me around, showing me how the club works and how they live,” Pedro said.

The 28-year-old said that he is enjoying his new life with Chelsea where he feels more dynamic and confident.

“When a player gets minutes [on the pitch], he picks up rhythm and confidence, he is happier and willing to try more things,” he said.

“Leaving Barça was hard for me, but I’m happy with the change,” he added.

Pedro left Barcelona after 11 years (2004-2015) during which he also played with the club’s reserve team for 4 years.

The Spanish national striker joined Chelsea on August 20. He signed a four-year contract with the ‘Blues’ for €26.6 million. Pedro scored in his debut match with Mourinho’s team when Chelsea won 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion.
