The Lagos State Government says it has commenced a four-day retreat for the state Executive Council to flesh out the policy direction of government with a view to serve residents better.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde on Wednesday in Lagos.
He said that the retreat would focus on three key issues of security, job creation and infrastructure development, which were the economic drivers of the State Government.
The Commissioner said the retreat, holding from Oct. 28 to Oct. 31, would provide a veritable platform for the executive council members to brainstorm on government policies, procedures and programmes.
According to him, the retreat will evolve better means of serving residents.
"It will also concretise plans to turn Lagos to a smart city where emphasis will be on creating alternative modes of transportation.
"The cabinet is now ready to build on solid foundation already laid by executing policies that will keep Lagos ahead as the centre of excellence," Ayorinde said.
He said that the retreat would also be attended by the body of Permanent Secretaries and some select Head of Agencies.
