How Institution conducts first convocation, graduates first class students

                                                          
Samuel Adegboyega University, Ogwa, Edo State churned out 57 graduates at her maiden convocation, with not less than four students graduating with first class.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Bernard Aigbokhan stated the maiden convocation was unique, being the first of the university, adding that a total number of 57 graduands from the 2014/2015 set graduated. He also stated that 23 persons graduated with second class upper division, 25 with second class lower division and 4 third class graduands.

Prof. Aigbokhan revealed that the university will continue in its track of nurturing for discipline, and excellence and to bring up God fearing graduates. Stating, “the university aims to strengthen the integrity and quality of its academic program through training and re-training of its staff and re-inventing of its program for continues production of quality and competitive graduates globally.”

Encouraging the graduates, the don stated, “put the skills you have acquired during your stay to good use because there are many creative and intelligent people in Nigeria but the problem is that they do not know they are creative.” adding, “ bring out those hidden talents in you even even as you go into the global community and try to make Nigeria a better place.” He said.

On infrastructural development, he noted that the university management has inaugurated several projects that will enable the students have a serene and conducive environment for learning. The projects include: building of news halls, libraries, hostels, healthcare buildings and building of more lecture rooms.
